Fairbourne Beach

Just a 3 minute walk from the hotel, this 2 mile stretch of sandy beach is perfect for walks or swimming.

Dragons Teeth

"A well preserved Scheduled Monument"

Lining the beach, these tank traps were constructed during World War II as part of the coastal defence strategy.

Fairbourne Railway

"Take a steam train to Penrhyn Point"

For over 100 years, this heritage steam railway has been running from the centre of Fairbourne to Penrhyn Point where there are ferries to Barmouth. You will hear the whistle of the trains as they pass the hotel!

Fairbourne Golf Course

"A golf course with outstanding views"

Fun for all the family at this affordable 18 hole golf course with fantastic views of the Mawddach estuary.

Blue Lake

"An enchanting Blue Lake in an old quarry"

A short walk up the mountain from Fairbourne, you will not only see far reaching views across the Lleyn Peninsula and Mawddach estuary, but will be able to explore an abandoned quarry with its Blue Lake. 

Barmouth Bridge

"A timber railway bridge across the Mawddach"

Enjoy amazing views as you walk or take the train to Barmouth across this Grade 2*Listed bridge, which is the only major timber bridge still existing on Britain's Railways.

Cadair Idris

Penmaenpool Toll Bridge

"Drive across a wooden bridge"

The 140 year old bridge can be accessed by road or the old railway track and is open for driving, cycling or walking across.
